MasterMind (MAnagement of mental health diSorders Through advancEd Technology and seRvices – teleHealth for the MIND care in Europe) is a project that implementing two kinds of service to make high quality treatment for depression more widely available for adults suffering from the illness by the use of ICT:
- adopting computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (cCBT) for depression patients based on evidence;
- collaborative care among general practitioners and specialists for depression facilitated by videoconference.
Services are experimented into 14 Regions in 11 different EU countries, involving more than 5.000 patients and 116 healthcare professionals; they are based on previous experiences developed in the Northern countries (Denmark, The Netherlands, and Scotland). The assessment of the two trials will be led by using the MAST, a methodology adopted on a large scale in the European project RENEWING HEALTH.
The Local Health Authority n. 9 (Azienda ULSS n.9) Treviso participates as partner, experimenting both the services by involving about 200 patients and 20 general practitioners.
Arsenàl.IT supports Local Health Authority n. 9 in developing the pilot and leading the HTA analysis. In particular the team develops, support and maintain the centralized database for the data collection from all the partners involved in the EU experience . This database is built on the previous experience of RENEWING HEALTH.
MasterMind began on 1st March 2014 and will last for 3 years.
